SAFF elects Salahuddin president for 3rd term

President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin has been elected President of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) for the third term in a row, reports UNB.

He was declared elected unopposed in a SAFF congress held on Wednesday afternoon at the Surma Hall of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital as there was no any other candidate.

Officials and representatives of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Bhutan participated in the congress chaired by SAFF President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin.

Syed Khadim Ali Shah of Pakistan, Anura De Silva of Sri Lanka and Mani Kunwar of Nepal were elected vice-presidents while Uygen Wangchuk of Bhutan was elected treasurer of the federation.

Besides, representative of seven South Asian countries will act as executive committee members.
