Ten men Bangladesh lost to hosts Nepal by 1-2 goals in the third-place deciding match of the SAFF U-16 Football Championship at the Dasrath Stadium in Kathmandu Wednesday.
Bangladesh were reduced to ten men in the 7th minute as defender Hasidur Rahman got the marching order early in the match.
Heman Gurung put Nepal ahead in the 8th minute from a penalty (1-0) while Kawsar Ali Rabbi restored parity for Bangladesh in the 65th minute (1-1).
Aditya Chowdhury confirmed Nepal's victory with a goal just one minute before the long whistle (2-1).
Earlier, in the group matches, touring Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka 6-2 and drew goalless with Nepal, but lost 0-2 to Pakistan in the semifinal.
