The Sam Open Table Tennis (TT) Tournament, organised by Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation, began at the NSC Wooden Floor Gymnasium in the city Thursday with 12 matches decided on the day, reports UNB.
In the women's singles, Tamanna (Lalbag), Rumi, Jayati (Abahani) and Seema (Pallolic) won their respective matches in straight 3-0 sets, while Binti (Lalbag) beat her teammate Eti by 3-1 sets.
In the boys' singles (under-14), Shiblu, Babu (Gaibandha), Auntu, Sabbir, Himel (Palollic) and Palash (Lalbag) beat their respective opponents by straight 3-0 sets while Hridoy (Lalbag) overpowered Rabbi (Pallolic) by 3-2 sets.
