School TT enters semifinal round

Four schools advanced to the semifinals in the boy's group event of the Walton Smart TV Dhaka Metropolis School Table Tennis (TT)  Tournament on the 2nd day of the five-day meet at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium  in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
The schools are-Armanitola Government High School, Saint Josef School, Ahmed Bawani Academy School & College and Scholastica School (Mirpur branch).
Meanwhile, in the girl's group event, Suid (Ramna branch), Azimpur School & College, Prayash Dhaka Cantonment and Sunnydale School will play in the semifinals.  
In the boy's singles event, Junayed of Lalbagh Model School, Amit of Ahmed Bawani Academy School & College and Akash of Armanitola Government High School moved to the 2nd round.
Fatin Israq of Azimpur Girls High School & College, Nur-e-Ferdous of Sunnydale, Tammanna Kabir of Summerfield and Faujia of DPS will play in the 2nd round of girl's singles event.
A total of 192 players, comprising 155 boys and 37 girls, from 30 Dhaka Metropolis schools are taking part in the tournament.
After a recess Monday on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh, the meet will resume tomorrow (Tuesday).
