Second Division Football League begins today

The Destiny Second Division Football League will kick off today (Sunday) at Bangabandhu National Stadium with the lone opening match between PWD SC and Little Friends Club, reports UNB.
A total of 17 teams, split into two groups, are taking part in this meet. The top four of each group will reach the Super League and the top four later will be promoted to the first division league. Bottom two teams will be relegated to Third Division.
Destiny 2000 Ltd is giving a purse of Tk 30,00000 as the sponsor of First and Second Division Football League. In this connection, BFF and Destiny 2000 Ltd have signed a MOU at the BFF Bhaban Saturday afternoon.
Bangladesh Football Federation president Kazi M Salahuddin agreed to provide Tk 50,000 to each of the teams from his own resources.
BFF president Kazi Salahuddin, Destiny 2000 Ltd chairman Mohammed Hossain, BFF vice president Badal Roy, Destiny 2000 Ltd general manager Saifur Rahman Chowdhury and Metropolis Football Committee chairman M Harunur Rashid were present, among others.
