Golfers and officials of the fifth Shah Cement AKS Golf Tournament pose for photograph following the prize giving ceremony.
CHITTAGONG, Dec 6: Fifth Shah Cement AKS Golf Tournament concluded at the Bhatiary Golf and Country Club (BGCC) on December 5.
The tournament, organised by the BGCC under patronisation of Abul Khair Steel and Shah Cement, business groups of Abuk Khair Group, was formally opened by president of the BGCC Maj Gen Sabbir Ahmed.
Executive Director of Abul Khair Group Brig Gen (retired) Md Shahidullah Chowdhury and Vice President (admin and finance) of the BGCC Brig Gen Md Obaidul Haque were present at the opening ceremony.
A total of 171 golfers from home and abroad participated in the tournament. The tournament ended with the prize giving ceremony among the winners on Friday evening. Maj Gen Sabbir Ahmed distributed the prizes.
The tournament was conducted by chairman of the tournament committee Mian MA Rahim. Members of the BGCC, their family members and invited guests were present.
Maj Emdadul Islam was the winner in the tournament while Mohiuddin Chowdhury was runner-up, Ahnaf Khan: second runner-up, Monowarul Islam: best grouse, Maj Arman: second best grouse, lady winner: Mrs Moon, men's best net: Maj Rafiqul Islam, best front nine: Cap Saad Md Abdullal Aziz, best back nine: Dr Imam Uddin, nine hole winner: Commodore Shafiul Bari, nine hole runner-up: Mr Fahim, senior winner: Adil Hossain, junior winner: Master Adi, junior runner-up: Master Tamim, longest drive: Maj Emdadul Islam, nearest to pin: Commodore Harunor Rashid and maximum par: Hosain Md Shoyeb.
