Shakil, Neer, Nayeem win 1st round

IM Abu Sufian Shakil, FM Manon Reja Neer and FM Nayem Haque won their respective games and earned full points in the first round as the 2nd Chess CAD Nakhon Nayok International Open has begun from on Friday at Ingtarn Resort in Nakhon Nayok, Thailand, reports BSS.
Four players from Bangladesh are participating in this event.
In the first round of play, IM Abu Sufian Shakil won against Tanish Ragavan of India, FM Manon Reja Neer won against Gutsulyak Nikolay of Russia, FM Nayem Haque won against Nakvanich Sahapol of Thailand and FM Md Taibur Rahman split point with Buranasing Wanawee of Thailand.
Meanwhile, ten players shared lead in the points table with maximum three points after the third round games of National and International Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament which is now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
They are IM Md Minhaz Uddin, FM Subrota Biswas, FM Md. Sharif Hossain, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, FM Mohammad Javed, Swarnavo Choudhury, Mohammed Shaker Ullah, Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan and CM Sohel Chowdhury.
On Friday, In the third round matches, IM Md Minhaz Uddin beat CM Sadnan Hasan Dihan, FM Subrota Biswas beat Jabed Al Azad, Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan beat CM Sakline Mostafa Sajid, CM Sohel Chowdhury beat Anata Choudhury, FM Md. Sharif Hossain beat CM Md. Masum Hosain and FM Mehdi Hasan Parag beat Mohammad Shafiqul Islam.
