Sharif Hossain, Sayantan Das share top slot after 5th round

Two players -- Sharif Hossain (Nakhalpara School) and Sayantan Das (Kolkata Scottish Church School) -- share the top slot in the 9th Standard Chartered School Chess Tournament securing full five points after the 5th round matches at the Chess Federation hall-room in the city Monday, reports UNB.
Saydul Islam Sayed (Aparajeyo Bangladesh) is in 2nd position with 4.5 points.
In the girls' group, Shaati Majumder (Kolkata Indira Gandhi School) took solo lead in the table with five points after the 5th round matches.
Pritika Tayal (Delhi), Aeon Sarkar, Arna Sarkar (Kolkata) and Shainy Das (Tripura) are in joint 2nd position with 4 points.
In KG-V group, Mohammad Fahim (Titas Gas School), Shayan Majumder (Kolkata Indira Gandhi School), Mainuddin Ahmed Asif (Hazrat Shah Ali school) and Saiful Islam (Aparajeyo Bangladesh) share the lead with maximum 4.5 points after the 5th round.
