Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club beat Arambagh Krira Sangha by 1-0 goal in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Thursday, reports UNB.
The league resumed on Thursday after a recess of nine days for the participation of Dhaka Abahani Limited in the AFC Cup matches.
Gambian forward Ebou Kanteh scored the match winner for Sheikh Jamal in the 46th minute of the day's match.
With day's feat, Sheikh Jamal DC remained at 6th slot securing 21 points with five wins, six draws and six losses while Arambagh remained in the 5th slot with their previous credit of 23 points with seven wins, two draws and eight losses.
In their previous meet, Sheikh Jamal beat Arambagh KS by 2-0 goals at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city on February 07.
Gambian forward Solomon King converted a penalty kick correctly to open the account for Sheikh Jamal in the 62nd minute while Argentine midfielder Luciano Emanuel Araya Perez doubled the score in 68th minute.
