Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, riding on a century by Hasibul Haq, earned a comfortable five-wicket victory over City Club in the Metropolis First Division Cricket League at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium Sunday, reports UNB.
Sent in to bat first, City Club posted moderate 275 for 6 in quota 50 overs with Sajidul Bashar scoring 81 runs off 78 balls.
In reply, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club reached their target scoring 277 runs for the loss of five wickets in 48.1 overs with Hasibul Haq contributing 110 runs off 132 balls that featured 12 fours while Mostafizur Rahman made 81 off 91 balls.
In the day's another match, Uttara SC outplayed Agrani Bank CC by nine wickets at the City Club ground.
Winning the toss, Uttara SC invited the bankers' ream to bat first and dismissed them for 220 runs in 48 overs.
