A hat-trick by Nigerian striker Emeka Darlington guided Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club to share the top slot in the Bangladesh Premier Football League outplaying Brothers Union Club by 4-1 goal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.

After the day's match, Federation Cup champions Sheikh Jamal DC earned the 2nd consecutive victory in the league to share the top slot with defending champions Sheikh Russell KC securing full six points from straight two matches.

Emeka Darlington made the hat-trick scoring three goals in the 18th, 33rd and 35th minutes while Haitian forward Wedson netted the remaining goal in the 81st minute for the winners while Issah Youssef of Ghana netted the lone goal for the losers in the 28th minute.

The Nigerian forward put Sheikh Jamal DC ahead in the 18th minute by a placing shot, off a low cross of his compatriot Okemeri (1-0).

Brothers Union restored the parity in the 28th minute from a penalty (1-1).

Sheikh Jamal defender Linkon fouled Brothers Union's Nigerian forward Nche Francis in the danger zone and referee pointed his finger for a spot kick. Ghanaian defender Issah Youssef did no mistake to convert a penalty.

Darlington put his team ahead again in the 33rd minute by an angular placing shot after dodging past one of the opponent defenders, capitalising on a through pass of Sohel Rana (2-1).

Darlington completed the second hat-trick of the league in the 35th minute also by a placing shot after dodging past Brother goalie Sabuj Das, after receiving a square pass of Wedson (3-1).

Wedson put his name in the scorers list in the 81st minute by a fierce volley shot when Darlington set him free with a soft header (4-1).

Dhaka Abahani Limited will play Soccer Club, Feni today (Thursday) at 5:00 pm at the same venue.
