Shitoryu Karate-Do Championship begins Saturday

After nine years, the Walton 8th Shitoryu Karate-Do Bangladesh Championship-2015, will begin at the National Sports Council gymnasium in the city Saturday, reports UNB.
Jute and Textiles Minister M Imajuddin Pramanik, MP, will inaugurate the three-day meet Saturday morning.
Some 300 karatekas from Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Police and different districts and organisations will compete in the three groups of the meet-Men's, Women's and Junior.
Executive Council President of Bangladesh Shitoryu Karate-Do Union Masud Parvez Rubel disclosed these at a press conference at the conference room of the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Tuesday.
Men's events include Singles Kata, Team Kata, -45 kg, -50 kg, -55 kg, 60 kg, -67 kg, -75 kg and Open & Team Event of Kumi.
Women's events include Singles Kata, -45 kg, -50 kg, -55 kg, -61 kg and Open Kumi.
