Celebrated Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman was eliminated from True Thailand Classic Golf Presented by Black Mountain after a dismal performance in the 2nd round at the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand Friday, reports UNB.
Siddikur Rahman shared the 20th place jointly with 19 other golfers among a field of 150 golfers after the first round Thursday, but was eliminated from the race as he finished 94th with eight other players in the 2nd round.
Siddikur played three-under-par-69 with four birdies and one bogey in the first round but finished a three-over-par 75 with two birdies and five bogeys in the 2nd round Friday to make an early exit from two successive Asian Tours.
Siddikur, who was optimistic to get back on the winning track through the Thailand Classic after a disastrous performance show in the Maybank Malayian Open early this month, has been forced to eat his words with yet another dismal show.
Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain tops the list playing 11-under-par 133 after the day's 2nd round.
