SL Cricket team in city

The Sri Lanka Cricket team, led by Anjelo Mathews arrived in the city Friday to play two Tests, three ODI and two Twenty20 matches against the Bengal Tigers, reports UNB.

The Sri Lanka team comprises 15 players and 10 officials.

The Lankan team will start their campaign in Bangladesh with a Test match beginning on January 27 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city while the 2nd Test match will be held on February 4-8 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

The two Twenty20 matches will be held on February 12 and 14 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

All three ODI matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on February 17, 20 and 22.

Sri Lanka team will make their practice Saturday morning at 9:30 am while Bangladesh team will make their practice at 1:30 pm in Mirpur.

State-owned Bangladesh Television (BTV) will telecast live all the matches while Bangladesh Betar will broadcast running commentary.
