SL enjoy late flurry against Ireland

DUBLIN, May 6 (AFP): Sri Lanka scored 39 runs from the last three overs to leave Ireland a victory target of 220 in the first one-day international at Clontarf, Dublin Tuesday.

Nuwan Kulasekara top scored, from No 8, with an undefeated 42 from 34 balls, including three fours and the only two sixes of the innings.

He received good support from Ashan Priyanjana who made 31 and Ajantha Mendis who cracked three boundaries in his 18 not out from just nine balls.
