Slavia Prague hit by Vlcek injury

PRAGUE, Nov 4 (AFP): Slavia Prague's slim hopes of beating Premiership leaders Arsenal in their Champions League clash Wednesday suffered a serious blow Sunday as it was revealed the Czech league's leading scorer Stanislav Vlcek would miss the match.
The 32-year-old Czech international striker suffered an injury during Saturday's 1-0 win over FK Teplice.
"The club doctors have told me to rest for 10 days," Vlcek told the club's website.
"I will therefore miss the Arsenal match and one league match."
The eight-times capped striker - who leads the league scoring charts with seven goals - would have been sorely needed by a Slavia Prague side that were humiliated 7-0 by Arsenal last month.
