Rafiqul Islam Tipu, an organiser, passed away at a city hospital on Tuesday afternoon, reports BSS.
He was 69.
He left behind his wife, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
The former general secretary of Table Tennis Federation was admitted to the Azgar Ali Hospital after suddenly fell on the stairs at his residence on Monday and received severe head injuries.
Tipu was currently an executive member of Bangladesh Archery Federation. Apart from serving the archery and table tennis federations, he was associated as a member of different committees in different national and international events for the last four decades.
