Sri Lanka set a target of 160 runs for Bangladesh in the virtual semifinal of the NIDAHAS T20I Tri-nation series on Friday, reports bdnews24.com.
Bangladesh, revamped by the sudden inclusion of allrounder Shakib Al Hasan, had opted to bowl first calling the coin right.
Shakib and Mustafiz struck the Lankans early after taking out three wickets and with Tharanga run out within the sixth over.
But the counterattack by Kusal Perera and Thisara Perera with fifties lifted the hosts to score 159 runs after losing seven wickets.
Friday's match at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo has turned out to be the semi-final as the winners will face India in the final on Sunday.
