Sylhet, BKSP win in U-18 Nat\\\'l Cricket

Sylhet Division and BKSP registered their respective wins in the three-day Young Tigers Under-18 National Cricket Competition after the third and final day at two separate venues of the country Sunday, reports UNB.
Sylhet Division beat Barisal Division by 4 wickets at Rangpur Cricket Garden while Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothisthan (BKSP) won over Chittagong Division by 21 runs at Bogra Shaheed Chandu Stadium.

On the third day on Sunday, Barisal Division (104 runs in the first innings) resumed the 2nd innings with overnight 116 runs for 5 in 68 overs and eventually scored 147 runs for all in 94.1 overs.
Overnight batsman Samir Md Kutubuddin scored team highest 44 runs off 205 balls with three fours while another overnight batsman Mainul Islam (12) was the other double digit scorer for the side on the third day.
Kamil Ahmed grabbed four wickets for 37 runs in 32 overs while Asadullah Al-Galib and Ahadur Rahman Ovi took two wickets each for 19 and 28 runs respectively in 14 and 20 overs in the 2nd innings.
Chasing a target of 129 runs, Sylhet Division (123 runs in the first innings) opened the 2nd innings and reached the target scoring 131 runs for 6 in 51.2 overs, spurred by number four Oli Ahmed scoring 53 runs off 108 balls with seven fours.
BKSP vs Chittagong
Replying to BKSP's 175 runs in the first innings and 124 runs in the 2nd innings, Chittagong Division (84 runs in the first innings) resumed the 2nd innings on the third day, to set 216 runs to win, with overnight 55 runs for 3 wickets in 41 overs and were bundled out for 194 runs in 105.3 overs.
Number six Monirul Islam scored team highest 68 runs off 167 balls with seven fours while Alam Miah (31), Golam Rabbi Fahim (10) and Tarek Kamal (10) were the other double digit scorers for the side on the third day.
