Sylhet Division defeated Dhaka Metropolis by 211 runs on the 3rd and final day of a three-day match of the Young Tigers U-18 National Cricket Tournament at Barisal Divisional Stadium Saturday, reports UNB.
In the day's match, Sylhet Division resumed the 2nd innings (223-run in the 1st innings) with overnight 98 for 4 in 35 overs and piled up 175 for 8 in 53 overs before declaring the innings.
Dhaka Metro opened the 2nd innings having 111 runs in the first innings and were all out cheaply 76 in 45.2 overs.
Dhaka Metro number two batsman Shakib Murad scored the team highest unbeaten 39 runs.
Kamrul Islam claimed 5 wickets for 21 runs in the 2nd innings. In the first innings Kamrul scored unbeaten 55 runs for his side and also captured 5 wickets for 39 runs to be adjudged man of the match.
Kamil Ahmed took 3 wickets conceding 27 runs.
