Sylhet emerge champions in U-14 cricket

HABIGANJ, Jan 3 (BSS): Sylhet District emerged unbeaten champions in the Youn Tigers Under-14 Cricket beating Moulvibazar by 80 runs in the final held Saturday at the Habiganj Adhunik Stadium.

Batting first after winning the toss Sylhet district team cheaply dismissed at a small total of 124 from their allotted 50 overs.

In reply, Moulvibazar found the chase very stiff and dismissed at a paltry total of 44 in 25.3 overs.

Abu Bakkar of Sylhet team was adjudged the player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance in the match.

Advocate M Abu Zahir, lawmaker of Habiganj-3 constitution, attended as the chief guest in the final and distributed prizes.
