T Sports App to broadcast IPL

T Sports App will broadcast live the upcoming 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) scheduled to begin on Friday, according to a press release.

Earlier, T Sports, the sports programming channel of the Bashundhara Group, bought the rights for five years from Viacom 18. According to the deal, the channel will stream all events of IPL through the app till 2027. Besides, people will be able to enjoy IPL matches by watching T Sports TV channel.

Chief Executive Officer of T Sports Ishtiaq Sadek said, "There is no big event than IPL for the commercial launch of the App. IPL paves the way for the showcasing performance of Shakib, Mustafiz and Liton of Bangladesh as well as cricket legends of other countries."

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and national team opener Liton Das are brand ambassadors of the app. They will play for Kolkata Knight Riders.
