Tajikistan team arrives city

A 20-member Tajikistan national football team arrived in city Saturday to play their away match of the World Cup qualifying round against hosts Bangladesh Monday (Oct 8) at 3:00 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, reports UNB.
The Tajik team comprising 16 booters and four officials made their practices at the BUET ground in the afternoon.
Famed national defender Hasan Al Mamun has been made the captain of Bangladesh national team, which will play against Tajikistan while striker Saifur Rahman Moni made his deputy.
Earlier, on Friday, Ban-gladesh Football Federation (BFF) announced a 20-member national squad for the World Cup qualifying round home match against Tajikistan.
Bangladesh squad: Biplob Bhattacharya, Mazharul Islam Himel (goalkeepers); Hasan Al Mamun, Wali Faisal, Mahmudul Hasan, Arup Kumar Baidya, Nazmul Islam, Rajani Kanta Barman, Amit Khan Shuvra, Abul Hossain (defenders); Arman Aziz, Ariful Islam, Zahid Hossain, Zahed Parvez Chowdhury, Anamul Haq Sharif, Zamratul Hossain Mithu, Nasirul Islam Nasir (midfielders); and Saifur Rahman Moni, Zahid Hossain Emily and Mohammad Robin (strikers).
The BFF earlier selected a 30-member preliminary squad for the three international tournaments -- Grand Royal Challenge Cup in Myanmar in November and the SAFF Championship in Sri Lanka and the Maldives in December in addition to world cup qualifier.
The booters are undergoing a residential camp under the supervision of Indian coach Syed Nayeemuddin at the BKSP in Savar.
