Bangladesh star opener Tamim Iqbal is back in One-day International (ODI) squad as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 16-member team for the three-match series against the visiting West Indies, reports UNB.
Tamim was out of action after sustaining an injury in his left wrist during the Asia Cup opener against Sri Lanka in the UAE.
Before playing the one-day series, Tamim will participate in a 50-over practice match against the visitors on December 06 at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothishthan (BKSP), Savar.
The first and second day-and-night one-day International will be held on December 09 and 11 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The other match of the series will be played at Sylhet International Stadium on December 14, the first of its kind in the venue.
Despite having the nomination of Bangladesh Awami League to contest the next parliamentary elections on December 30, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza decided to play the one-day series.
Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Fazle Mahmud Rabbi were axed from the one-day squad that played against Zimbabwe.
While Nazmul did not get a chance to play after Asia Cup, Rabbi has been dropped for his poor performance of adding nothing on the board in two one-dayers he played.
Bangladesh won the last one-day series against West Indies in last July when Tamim Iqbal struck two hundreds in three matches.
