Tangail and Dhaka DSAs moved into the final of the Spectra Group First Inter-District Women Kabaddi Competition winning their respective semi-final matches at the Kabaddi Court in the city Saturday, reports UNB.
The final match between the two teams will be held today (Sunday) at the same venue. Youth and Sports Adviser Tapan Chowdhury will be the chief guest on the occasion and distribute the prizes among the winners.
On way to the final, Tangail DSA crushed Narayanganbj DSA by 67-27 points with four creditable 'lona' in the first semi-final, while Dhaka DSA overpowered Rajshahi DSA by 40-38 points in the day's other semis.
Earlier, in the day's other matches, Narail DSA beat Khulna DSA 29-25 with two 'lona'; Narayanganj defeated Rangamati DSA 49-26 with four 'lona'; Dhaka DSA thrashed Manikganj DSA 52-8 with four 'lona'; Rajshahi DSA outclassed Madaripur DSA 49-13 with four 'lona', while the match between Gaibandha DSA and Jamalpur DSA ended in a 33-33 draw.
