Tanvir Islam claimed 13 wickets in the match with his wily left-arm spin as Bangladesh Emerging Team romped to an innings and 23-run victory over visiting Ireland Wolves in the solitary four-day game of the series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday, reports BSS.

Tanvir followed his 5-55, with 8-51 in the second innings, which helped the side skittle Wolves out for just 139 in the second innings and thereby ensured Bangladesh's victory in just two and half days.

Ebadot Hossain and Saif Hassan bagged the rest of the two wickets to play a perfect foil to Tanvir. Wolves' fate was sealed on day two when they ended the day with 35-4.

But two overnight unbeaten batsmen captain Harry Tector and Curtis Campher showed a steely resolve after resuming the day three and at one phase, it seemed they would at least help the side avoid the innings defeat.

Saif Hasan however broke the stubborn partnership, dismissing Campher for 22 and set the platform for Tanvir to further derail Ireland. Tanvir started his haul on day three with the wicket of Lorcan Tucker (5) and then got the prized scalp of captain Tector for 55.

After the dismissal of Tector, Bangladesh sensed an innings margin win and Tanvir made it a cake-walk by cleaning up the tail with a gem of spin bowling show.

Earlier, opting to bat first, Ireland Wolves were bowled out for 151 in their first innings. Bangladesh made a strong response, putting up 313 in their first innings and thereby took a handsome 162-run lead. The lead was bigger enough but Tanvir's excellent bowling made the eventual difference.

Ireland Wolves will also play five one-day matches and two T20s against the Bangladesh Emerging Squad.

The first three one-day matches will be held in Chattogram, which is on March 05, 07 and 09 at ZACS.

The both teams then will travel back to Dhaka in which they will play the last two one-day matches and the two T20s. The four and fifth one-day matches are scheduled for March 12 and 14 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city.

The two T20s will also be held at the same venue on March 17 and 18.

The Ireland Wolves team will leave Dhaka on March 19.
