Three foreign teams arrive today

Three foreign teams - Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Maldives - will arrive in the capital today (Tuesday) to play in the eight-nation Bangabandhu SAFF Championship beginning Friday (Dec 4) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city, reports UNB.
Sri Lanka will be the first foreign team to reach Dhaka on Tuesday at 1:30 pm, followed by Pakistan at 8:30 pm and the Maldives at 9:00 pm.
Indian team will arrive Wednesday at 6:15 am, followed by Afghanistan at 4:15 pm and Nepal at 4:20 pm.
Bhutan is yet to confirm their arrival schedule. A 21-member Bangladesh team today (Monday) boarded at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, the official hotel of the meet. The Bangladesh team made their practice at the BUET ground this (Monday).
Hosts Bangladesh are placed in Group B with Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bhutan while Group A team comprises defending champions Maldives, India, Afghanistan and Nepal.
Sri Lanka will play Pakistan in the opening match Friday at 4:00 pm while Bangladesh will meet Bhutan in the other opening day's match at 7:00 pm in the 11th version of the SAFF Championship.Hosts Bangladesh will play Pakistan Sunday (Dec 6) while they will play Sri Lanka Tuesday (Dec 8).
