Three players share top slot in National Women Chess

Three players share the top slot in the final phase of Arlin Developer 31st National Women Chess Championship securing full three points after the third round matches at the Narayanganj Club Monday, reports UNB.
They are reigning national women champion Sharmin Sultana Shirin, national runner-up WFM Shamima Akter Liza of host Narayanganj and Nazrana Khan Eva of Manikganj.
In the day's 3rd round match, Shirin beat Aeon Sarker of Kasparov Chess School. Shirin played with black pieces with Sicilian Defense against Kan system and beat Aeon after 30 moves.
Liza beat Mahmuda Haque Chowdhury Molly of Chittagong. Liza played with white pieces in Queen's gambit declined game and beat Molly in 30 moves.
Eva beat Protiva Talukder of Rajshahi. Eva played with white pieces in Queen's gambit declined game and won against Protiva at the 41st move.
WIM Rani Hamid of Titas Club beat WFM Zakia Sultana of Metropolitan Chess Club. Rani Hamid played with white pieces against French defense and beat Zakia at the 35th move.
