Tigers to tour Zimbabwe for ODI series in July-Aug

Bangladesh will embark on a white-ball tour to Zimbabwe in July where they will play three ODIs and as many T20s. Bangladesh are expected to arrive in Zimbabwe on July 27.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board officials have said that allrounder Shakib Al Hasan is unavailable for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe as well as for the three-match ODI series against West Indies, report agencies.
Bangladesh will play a practice match before beginning the T20 series against Zimbabwe. The opening T20 will be played on July 30, while the second and third are scheduled for August 1 and 2. The three ODIs are scheduled for August 5, 7 and 10 respectively with all games to be played in Harare.
Bangladesh are currently playing a white-ball series in the West Indies and are expected to return home on July 16.
Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan will skip the Tigers' three-match ODI series against the Caribbeans. He will not play in the Zimbabwe series, according to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Bangladesh already lost the two-match Test series against hosts West Indies to begin the tour.
"Shakib informed us that he will not be available for the Zimbabwe tour," Jalal Yunus, chairman of the cricket operation of the BCB, told the media Thursday. "But other senior players will travel to Zimbabwe."
Shakib recently returned as the captain of the Bangladesh Test team. He led the Tigers in the two-match series against the West Indies. The all-rounder batted well in the series, but his team failed to impress.
