A boat race was held in the Chalan Beel under Rajshahi division on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday

PABNA, July 27: A boat race was held in the Chalan Beel under Rajshahi division on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday afternoon.
The boat race was organised by the Bhangura Union Parishad authority.
Prizes were distributed among the winners at a ceremony presided over by Bhangura Union Parishad chairman Jahangir Hossain. Local parliament member of Pabna-3 Alhaj Mokbul Hossain attended the function as chief guest.
Local elite, journalists, school, college and university students, villagers and others were also present there.
Khalilur Rahman and his team from Jagatala Bazaar under Bhangura Upazila got the first prize and the team of Anwar Ali from Sarutia village of the same upazila of Pabna district got the second prize.
