The Pran-RFL Under-14 School Handball Tournament for Boys and Girls, organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation, will begin at the Shaheed Capt (retd) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city today (Sunday), reports UNB.
Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association and BCB Director Najib Ahmed will inaugurate the tournament at noon.
Twelve boys' and 12 girls' teams will participate in the tournament.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor disclosed details of the tournament at a press conference at the hall room of the tournament venue on Saturday.
Brand Manager of meet sponsor Pran Confectionary Ltd Yousuf Arafat, Tournament Committee Chairman Masud Samia Shila and Tournament Secretary Ayesha Zaman Khuki also spoke on the occasion.
Participating boys' teams are: South Point School & College, Heed International, Sunnydale, Dhanmondi Tutorial, Scholastica, Mirpur, Narinda Govt High School, Dhaka Residential Model College, Ideal School & College, Shaheed Police Smriti College, Saint Gregory's School, BAF Shaheen College and Scholastica Uttara.
Girls' school teams are: Sunnydale, Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, South Point School and College, Dhanmondi Tutorial, Heed International, Shaheed Police Smriti College, Scholastica, Uttara, Scholastica, Mirpur, Shaheed Bir Uttam Anwar College, Kadamtola Purbo Bashabo School & College, Siddeshwari Girls High and BAF Shaheen College.
