University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) defeated European University of Bangladesh (EUB) by six wickets while Bangladesh University beat Prime University by 58 runs to reach the final of the 11th ULAB Fair Play Cup Inter-Private University Cricket Tournament in the city on Tuesday, says a press release.
The final match of the tournament will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at the same ground.
In the first match of the tournament ULAB won the toss and decided to bowl first. EUB scored 128 runs losing all wickets in 19.1 overs. In return ULAB scored 132 runs losing only 4 wickets in 17.2 overs. ULAB won by 6 wickets. Shariful Islam of ULAB bagged
4 wickets and became man of the match.
In the second match of the day, Bangladesh University won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 154 runs for 8 wickets from 20 overs. In return Prime scored only 96 runs losing all wickets in 16.5 overs. BU won by 58 runs and reached the final of the 11th ULAB Fair Play Cup powered by Gazi Group. Shafiqul Islam of BU bagged 5 wickets in 4 overs giving only 20 runs and received prize as man of the match.
