Newcomer Uttar Baridhara Club split points with lowly Soccer Club, Feni as the Bangladesh Premier Football League match between two teams ended in 1-1 draw at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Saturday, reports UNB.

After the day's draw, Uttar Baridhara Club secured 6 points from seven matches while Soccer Club, Feni bagged 3 points from the same number of matches.

Captain Shahidul Islam Swapan put Uttar Baridhara Club ahead in the 7th minute by an angular shot from the edge of the box, utilizing a cutback off Nigerian midfielder Kosoko (1-0).

Gambian defender Mathew Mendy restored the parity for Soccer Club, Feni in the 26th minute by a powerful left footer, capitalizing on cross of Syed Rashid Turjo (1-1).
