V-Day H’ball begins today

The Walton Home Appliance Victory Day Handball (men's & women's) begins today (Monday) at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city, reports BSS.

A total of six men's and women's teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the meet, sponsored by Walton and organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation.

The champions men's/ women's teams will get Tk 10 thousand while the runners up men's/women's teams have Tk five thousand as prize money.

Sponsor Walton will provide Tk 0.2 million.

In this regards, a press conference was held Sunday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room to give all the details of the meet.

National Sports Council secretary Shibnath Roy, Walton additional director (head of games and sports) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar and BHF general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor spoke on the occasion.
