Victoria SC edged past Wari Club 1-0 in their opening match of the Metropolis Senior Division Football League at Bir Shrestha Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
Javed scored the all-important goal for the winners in the 41st minute.
Thursday's matches: Badda Jagarani Sangsad against Agrani Bank Ltd SC (2:15 pm); Jatrabari KC against Purbachal Parishad (4:15 pm), both at the same venue.
