Victory Day Handballfinals today

Both men's and women's final matches of the Walton Home Appliances Victory Day Handball Tournament will be held today (Thursday) at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city, reports UNB.

In the men's final, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will face Bangladesh Police at 1 pm while BJMC will face Bagladesh Ansar in the women's final at 3:00 pm.

Meanwhile, in the men's group match today (Wednesday), BGB beat Bangladesh Police by 32-30 goals after the first half ended in a 14-14 draw.

Khairuzzamn scored 12 goals and Imdadul six for the winners while Helal netted 8 goals and Chinu 6 for the losers.

In the women's group, BJMC outclassed Bangladesh Ansar by 27-15 goals after leading the first half 13-8. Shirina scored 6 goals while Dalia and Sumi 4 goals each for the winners. Nishi netted 5 goals and Rubina 4 for the losers.
