A five-a-side team from Vietnam won the third annual Standard Chartered Trophy held recently at Anfield, the home of Liverpool FC, said a press release.
The international five-a-side football competition, which recently won Best International Marketing Campaign at the BT Sports Industry Awards, saw ninety-eight participants, representing fourteen finalist countries, taking part in the Standard Chartered Trophy finals.
After winning domestic tournaments in their home countries, the teams who earned a place in the final stage of the tournament came from Bangladesh, Dubai, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Korea, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, The Gambia, the UK and Vietnam.
