Viqarunnisa, Siddheshwari win openers

Viqarunnisa School and College and Siddheshwari Girls' College won their respective opening matches of the 12th Delta Life Women's College Handball Championship at the Dhanmondi Women Sports Complex in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
Delta Life Insurance Managing Director Das Dev Prasad formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest in the afternoon.
Handball Federation Vice-president Principal Hamida Ali and its General Secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor were also present on the occasion.
In the day's first match, Siddheshwari Girls' College defeated Holy Cross School and College by 8-2 goals (1st half 4-2) while Viqarunnisa School and College crushed Holy Cross School and College (B) by 14-2 goals (1st half 7-2).
