A month-long residential practice camp for national women booters is likely to begin in a day or two at the Dhanmondi Women Sports Complex ahead of the 2nd Indo-Bangla Games to be held here in December, reports UNB.
"We will initially pick up 25 to 30 booters for the camp, which will begin in a day or two," BFF's women football committee secretary Quamrunnahar Dana told the news agency.
She said the booters would undergo practice under the supervision of former national player Abu Yousuf, who earlier acted as coach of the BFF women's XI during the five exhibition matches with Orrisa Women football team last month.
In the first Indo-Bangla Games in Kolkata, the women booters suffered 0-2 and 0-1 goal defeats to the Indian women football team, but played to a goalless draw in the last match.
Meanwhile, the open trial for the under-19 national football team will begin Friday at Bir Shreshtho Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur in the city.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) trainer Mahbub Hossain Roxy will conduct the trial. Only selected booters will be called for the residential camp after the trial.
