Women's team for South Africa tour announced

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Tuesday the squad for the Bangladesh Women's tour to South Africa for a limited over series, reports BSS.

Bangladesh Women's will play a three T20s and same number of ODI matches against South Africa Women's during their visit to the African country.

The three-match ODI series is a part of the ICC Women's Championship.

Nigar Sultana Joty will as usually lead the side. The selectors in fact retain almost the same team which played against Pakistan at home series.

Bangladesh won the both T20 and ODI series against Pakistan by 2-1.

Veteran Salma Khatun who found a place in standby list during the Pakistan series was left out from South Africa tour.

Lata Mondol and Shorifa Khatun, who has not received an ODI cap, have taken Sanjida Akter and Nishita Akter's places in the squad.

In addition to Sharmin Akter and Fariha Islam, Sanjida and Nishita have been retained on the reserve list.

Standby: Sharmin Akter Supta, Shanjida Akther Maghla, Fariha Islam Trisna, Nishita Akter Nishi
