Young Tigers lose to India in U-19 WC

Bangladesh's U-19 suffered a massive 131 runs defeat to their Indian counterpart in the quarterfinal held on Friday at Queenstown in New Zealand, reports BSS.

Batting first after winning the toss, India set up competitive total of 265 for all in 49.2 overs.

Shubman scored smashed 86-ball off 94 runs while Abhishek Sharma contributed with a 49-ball off 50 runs that that steered India to 265 in the quarterfinal.

Qazi Anik was the most successful bowler picking up three India wickets while Nayeem Hasan and Saif Hassan supported him with two wickets apiece.

Chasing a winning target of 266 runs set by India, Bangladesh found the chase stiff in the face of tight bowling attacks by the Indian bowlers and eventually dismissed at a paltry total of 134 in 42.1 overs.
