Shahriar Zaman of the Statistics, Biostatistics & Informatics Department and Saiful Islam Rasel of the Soil, Water and Environment Department emerged joint champions in the annual sports competition of Amar Ekushey Hall of the Dhaka University (DU) Sunday, reports UNB.
Badrul Alam Lemon of the Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology Department finished runner-up in the meet held on the university's central playground.
DU vice chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique was the chief guest at the day's closing function and distributed prizes among the winners. DU treasurer Prof Dr M Kamal Uddin inaugurated the meet. Provost of Amar Ekushey Hall Prof Dr Anwarul Islam was also present.
