Zia earns 3 points after 4th round

Bangladesh Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club earned 3 points after the 4th round matches of the 13th Parsvnath Delhi International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament held in New Delhi, India Sunday, reports UNB.
In the 4th round Grandmasters event, Zia beat Kathmale Sameer of India while in the 3rd round match on Saturday Zia defeated WFM Vaishali of India.
Another Bangladesh participant in the event Md Manik earned one point from his three games.
Meanwhile, after the 8th round matches of the B Category rated event, three Bangladesh players Raja Mia, Shahidul Islam and Tipu Sultan earned 4.5, 3, and 2 points respectively.
Some 179 players including, 22 Grandmasters, 3 Women Grandmasters and 27 International Masters from 18 countries, are taking part in the Grandmasters event while 484 players from 6 countries competing in the B Category rated event.
