10 cos grab 33.6pc of total transaction

Most 10 traded companies Thursday grabbed 33.6 per cent of the turnover featured by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

Among top 10 turnover leaders, six were from the banking sector.

The premier bourse DSE Thursday featured a turnover of above Tk 6.24 billion. Of total turnover, 47.2 per cent came from banking sector.

Shahjalal Islami Bank topped the turnover chart featuring a value of Tk 369.1 billion. On Thursday, the company's market price rose 2.28 per cent to close at Tk 26.80 per share.

The share trading Uttara Bank closed at Tk 38.10 with a rise of 2.96 per cent or Tk 1.1. The company grabbed 4.9 per cent of the market turnover featuring a value of Tk 303.7 million.

The turnover of Jamuna Bank was Tk 242.4 million which was 3.9 per cent of the turnover featured by the DSE. The company's market price went up by 4.58 per cent or Tk 1.1 to close at Tk 24.90 per share.

The market price of National Bank rose 1.35 per cent per share and the share trading closed at Tk 15. The company captured 3.4 per cent of the market turnover featuring a value of Tk 209.3 million.

Premier Bank featured a turnover of Tk 190.9 million and grabbed 3.1 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share trading closed at Tk 17.30 with a rise of 4.85 per cent per share.

EXIM Bank featured a turnover of Tk 188.9 million and captured 3.0 per cent of the market turnover. The company's market price rose 2.35 per cent and share trading was closed at Tk 17.40 per share.

IFAD Autos and Summit Power featured a turnover of Tk 159.8 million and Tk 154.9 million respectively.

Grameenphone featured a turnover of Tk 136.2 million and grabbed 2.2 per cent of the market turnover.

LankaBangla Finance captured 2.1 per cent of the market turnover after featuring value of Tk 134.2 million.
