14-day workshop begins at DSE

The 14-day workshop organised by DSE titled "Portfolio Management and Securities Analysis" began at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Sunday.

The aim of the workshop is to help general investors enriching their portfolios through the analysis of securities, officials said.

Managing Director of the DSE Dr Swapan Kumar Bala inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest.

Addressing the inaugural function, Mr Bala said, "Investors know the term 'Portfolio Management and Securities Analysis' but many of them do not apply the analysis while managing their portfolios."

He said the investors can reduce the systematic risks by applying the securities analysis.

A total of 52 investors are taking part in the workshop.

Professor of the Finance Department of the University of Dhaka Dr Osman Imam, among others, is the resource persons of the workshop.
