a2i, Genex Infosys get Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards

Access to Information (a2i) and Genex Infosys have been awarded the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA Awards 2019) under the category of Public Sector. They were selected for successfully implementing and managing the national information, service and Grievance Redress System (GRS) Center- 333, reports BSS.

The award ceremony was held in Halong, Vietnam where Ashraf Amin, Deputy Secretary and e-Service Specialist of a2i, received the award.

In a joint statement, Genex Co-founders Adnan Imam and Prince Mojumder said, "We are honoured to have such recognition for our work for 333 in International level."

"The impact brought by the service to the lives of country's citizens has motivated us to deliver the best of our capabilities," they added.

They thanked a2i, ICT Ministry and Robi Axiata for keeping trust on them to carry out the noble project.

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Information and Communication Technology Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, inaugurated the 333 helpline last year. The call centre 333 provides information on the procedures of receiving public services and addressing the social problems. Over 35,000 government websites and robust complaint management system are engaged with it to facilitate the helpline service.
