AB Bank elects new chairman-

The board of AB Bank in its 813th board meeting elected Kaiser A. Chowdhury as its chairman.
Mr. Chowdhury is an iconic banker with years of experience as CEO and board member of several banks and financial institutions, according to a statement.
He started his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank in 1975. He worked for over 24 years in key positions before joining One Bank as the CEO from 1999 to 2004 and then to AB Bank from 2005 to 2012. Later, he joined as the CEO of Meghna Bank.
Mr. Chowdhury also worked in different capacities in GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Limited and Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC).
Mr. Chowdhury also served as an independent director at the Premier Bank and as a director at AB Bank.
A writer with 50 publications, he takes keen interest in juvenile literature and has written copiously in this field. In 2013, he received the Bangla Academy Literary Award for his contribution to children's literature.
Mr. Chowdhury holds a post-graduate degree in Economics from Dhaka University.
Mr. Chowdhury will greatly benefit AB Bank as chairman, having an extensive and diverse experience, coupled with charismatic leadership and strong reputation as a prominent figure in the financial industry.
