ACCA has confirmed that Chevron Bangladesh has met the quality criteria for the Award of Approved Employer Trainee Development-Platinum and BRAC EPL Investments Limited with Professional Development.
This means that all finance and accounting employees who are registered as students with ACCA will receive valuable support to help them successfully complete the ACCA examinations and gain practical experience that enables them to acquire the range of competencies required of finance and accounting professionals in business today. As BRAC EPL gets Professional Development status their employees who are ACCA members can achieve their CPD (Continuous Professional Development) through organization's development programme and are not required to follow unit CPD route. However members are still required to complete their annual CPD declaration.
The awards were received by the Finance Director of Chevron Bangladesh William Peter Lynn and by the Head of Financial Reporting from BRAC EPL Muntakim Ahmed. Vice President of ACCA Alexandra Chin handed out the awards. Both the organizations focus on developing diverse workforces and on nurturing business growth especially in developing markets. These synergies make ACCA a natural finance learning partner for the organization.
Chevron Bangladesh, BRAC EPL and ACCA Bangladesh share the common goal of developing qualified professionals in financial services industry as a whole and ACCA's curriculum, student skill set/depth and professionalism in particular, is helping organizations to continue to build its highly qualified professional bench strength.
"ACCA thinks win-win while working with employers. The objective of working on employer relationships is to establish a good channel between demand and supply. This is a happy occasion for ACCA that we are going to create such a win-win relationship with Chevron Bangladesh & BRAC EPL through this scheme. I would thank the leaders of the organization for their farsighted approach", noted Ms Mohua Rashid, Country Head of ACCA Bangladesh.
