AGMs of 4 listed Beximco companies held

Four listed Beximco companies held the annual general meetings recently. The companies are Bangladesh Export Import Co. Ltd, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited, Beximco Synthetics Limited and Shinepukur Ceramics Limited.

Beximco Ltd

The 48th Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh Export Import Co. Ltd. was held virtually recently. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Salman F Rahman, Vice-Chairman of the Company.. Mr. Iqbal Ahmed,, Director, Mr. O. K. Chowdhury,, Directors, Mr. A. B. Siddiqur Rahman,, Ms. Reem H Shamsuddoha, Director and, Mr. Shah Monjurul Hoque, Independent Director and Mr. Md. Luthfor Rahman, Chief Financial Officer of the Company, attended the meeting.

Bangladesh Export Import Co. Ltd. declared 35 per cent cash dividend for the year ended 30th June 2021 in its 48th Annual General Meeting. The Company achieved sales of Tk.43,404.79 million and earned a gross profit and net profit of Tk.14,251.73 million and Tk.6,632.29 million respectively for the year ended 30th June, 2021.

The shareholders were highly satisfied with the Company's performance during the year and approved the Directors' Report, Audited Financial Statements for the year ended on 30th June, 2021, 35% cash dividend, appointment of Directors and appointment of Auditors for the year 2021-22 and the Special Resolutions for increasing the Authorised Share Capital of the Company from Tk.10 billion to Tk.30 billion.

Beximco Pharma

The 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited was held virtually. The Vice Chairman of the Company, Mr. Salman F. Rahman MP, presided over the meeting and briefed the shareholders about the business of the Company. All the resolutions placed in the meeting were duly passed. The Shareholders approved 35 per cent cash dividend recommended by the board of directors for the year ended 30 June 2021. The questions and queries raised by the shareholders were replied in the meeting. Among others, members of the board of directors, including the independent directors, attended the AGM.

The 30th Annual General Meeting of Beximco Synthetics Limited and the 24th Annual General Meeting of Shinepukur Ceramics Limited were also held virtually on the same day.

Shinepukur Ceramics Limited declared 2.5 per cent cash dividend for the year ended 30th June 2021 in its 24th Annual General Meeting. The Company achieved sales of Tk.1393.56 million and earned a gross profit and net profit of Tk.227.12 million and Tk.46.38 million respectively for the year ended 30th June 2021.
