Md Anwarul Haque has been elected as chairman of Mercantile Bank PLC at the 448th board meeting of the bank held on Sunday, says a statement.
Previously he served as the Vice Chairman, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Risk Management Committee of the bank.
Mr Haque is also the Managing Director of Living Plus Ltd. Besides, he is engaged with different financial institutions and businesses.
He is also associated with various socio-cultural organisations such as Gulshan Club Ltd., Dhanmondi Club Ltd. and Uttara Model Club Ltd.
